Quick Thoughts on the GOP Debate

More Tomorrow on the debate tonight but a few quick thoughts.

I thought Huckabee did real well. The exchange between Ron Paul and Huckabee was classic and showed what I like about Huckabee. Huckabee is right. There is too much division. We have moved way way past healthy partisanship. Even in the Republican party there is too much Inquistion like rethoric against Republicans and fellow conservatives. I thought Huckabee hit it right on that we are one America and not a divided America. Good night for him

Sen John McCain has a good night. You will rarely see me go after Senator McCain on this blog. I respect him. I like the fact that he sticks to positions because he BELIEVeS in them. I guess my major problem with him is his campaign finance views. Yet in the real world we cannot expect a politician to agree with us on everything. If they do then something might be wrong. I do think he had a good night. I also think that shows that people have respect for people that stick to their guns

Guillani had a ok night. I see people saying he had a bad one but I thought he fared well under the heat.

Thompson has announced tonight. About time. We shall see what happens

You are right, too much division,,,

70% of Americans want our troops home and the war to end,,,,

So 30% rule?? I am afraid you have your math confused,,,

I do find that opinion polls are dangerous to rule and govern by. Again it all gets interesting when we get into the details.

I am willing to bet when the Sept reportcomes due and the Congress debates it and the American people are forced to engage it we shall see quite different numbers, We see that all the time on issues.

The dicision I am talking about how little to do with the War but on a whole atmosphere that is just destructive
