Louisiana Tech is Back- Louisiana Tech versus Hawaii was A GREAT GAME!!!!!

Time for the first football post of the day. I will hit the incredible LSU story as well other thoughts later.

As much as I wanted to got to LSU and see them play Virginia Tech, I knew my Bulldogs needed me in that stadium Saturday. Hawaii ,who has BCS hopes and their stud quarterback Colt Brennan, was coming to town.

Hawaii and Tech play in the WAC. Hawaii is sort of the Alabama of the the WAC. The team that everyone loves to hate. Those kids on the Islands can play. They came in ranked in the top 25 and this was the first game they were playing on the mainland. Hawaii is a great team and it is a shame because of the time zone differences people are filling out their ballots before they even start playing. ESPN would make a lot of money if they played their Hawaii Island games on ESPN2. I am so pumped for college football I would watch a game keeping off at midnight central time.

Louisiana Tech is often called the sleeping giant. That is because of where its located Louisiana Tech should be a team that could explode. Last year was tough. The Coach got fired and things did not look well. Then the Administration and alumni said enough. We will spend the money and get the attitude it takes to be a player. We hired Derek Dooley, son of the legend Vince Dooley of Georgia, and a great Coach. We felt something was happening but this weekend showed it. The future is bright.

The game was exciting and Tech played a top notch Hawaii team into double overtime and lost just by one point. Dooley decided to go for two and the ball was batted down at the last second. Still for a loss no Tech fans were hanging their heads. I think we know what we were seeing was no fluke. I truly believe the players have bought into what the Coaching staff was seinning them if they just trusted in them.

Hawaii is an excellent team and Colt Brennan is AWESOME. Here are some articles to read.
