A Catholic Law Professor writes to Ann Rice regarding Clinton and Abortion

I like Ann Rice quite a bit. I have always been a fan of her books. Her book , The Witching Hour, is one of those that used I to do a re- read a couple times every year when I just wanted to escape. It is funny but now that I think about it I have not re-read that book since Hurricane Katrina. I suppose perhaps her vivid descriptions of the local flair of New Orleans reminds me of a time that I can't go exactly go recapture right now. But we are coming back :)

Anyway she has written several great books. I was struck by her very heartfelt return to her Catholic faith. I very much enjoyed her book in which she tried to go back to the time that Jesus was a boy. Yes I realize there were perhaps theological problems. However the foreword to her book was awesome and showed a serious woman that had a serious faith.

She made an endorsement of Senator Hillary Clinton and based it on her "Catholic Convictions". I was not aware she had done that till I read Louisiana Catholic Blogger and also a New Orleans Native For the Greater Glory wrote an that wrote an post that rightfully poked some holes in her logic.

I missed this during the Christmas season, but it appears that Prof Robert George of Princeton has written an
An Unrequited Letter to Anne Rice asking her to reconsider. It is a very good letter and I hope people read it now that he has published it at First Things. Tip of the Hat to Mirror of Justice that led me to this find.
