A Priest From the UK and a Preacher to the Pope on "Good Shepherd" Sunday

I am hitting Saturday Mass today. It is one of those days I need to go to Confession and generally my best Confessions are at the Vigil. Don't know why.

Anyway it is Good Shepherd Sunday which when you think about it is pretty cool since the Pope is coming to the USA next week.

Anyway I am reading two very good readings on "The Good Shepherd". First Catholic Mom of Ten has some great words on this subject by Fr Guy Nicholls of the Oratory of Birmingham at What makes a “Good” Shepherd?

Second there is quite a homily/Commentary that the Preacher to the Papal Household Father Raniero Cantalamessa has up for Good Shepherd Sunday. As usual the Father Cantalamessa does not mince words. Zenit has a full translation up of Sheep That Go Astray
