Terry Bradshaw in Town and Pumped About Louisiana Tech Football (Plus Gives Thoughts on Locals in Draft)

Some Louisiana Tech News!!!!!

Terry Bradshaw is in town and as usual he is a riot. He also is really on fire for Louisiana Tech football and seems to really want to get the Coach Dooley Vision going. As he put it "to kick a little ass" Terry is always fun. For those outside Louisiana there is always a debate if Saints fans outnumber Cowboy fans in the Shreveport area. Terry Bradshaw had a lot to I think with keeping Cowboy hate up in North West Louisiana and thus helped the Saints(that well pretty much sucked). When I was a very young kid there were a ton of Steeler fans because of Terry and thus Dallas Cowboy haters. In fact I got my early football hate for the Cowboys because of that. The Saints benefited by that as to future fans when they actually got good.

He is in Ruston for the Terry Bradshaw/Kix Brooks Golf Tournament. The Shreveport Times has a interesting story called Bradshaw recalls his draft experience . For some reason the Shreveport Times didn't cover all his thoughts on Louisiana Tech Football which were the major part of the local TV news coverage. The Monroe News Star World has TECH’S TOP DOG: Bradshaw recalls his own NFL draft experience. Both article have Bradshaws views as to where Louisiana guys will go in the draft. The Monroe News Star Article on the side Terry Bradshaw co-hosts golf tournament at Squire Creek has some of his thoughts as to Louisiana Tech

CHOUDRANT — The “Blonde Bomber” was back on his old stomping grounds Monday as former Louisiana Tech and NFL quarterbacking great Terry Bradshaw was on hand to co-host the Terry Bradshaw/Kix Brooks Golf Tournament at Squire Creek.Bradshaw said the event is all about giving back to Tech athletics.“Kix and I are happy to be back to help raise money for the school we love, and golf seems like a wonderful way for all of us to get together and spread the Tech news throughout the state and get more people to come up here and get jacked up like he and I have over the past three years,” Bradshaw said. The NFL Hall of Famer said he’s proud to give back to the university and that he wants to help build on excitement generated by Tech athletics over the past couple of years.“When you see people who get you excited, you’re going to give more money,” Bradshaw said. “It’s just a natural thing I think. When your kids do well in school you reward them, don’t you? With something — we all do.Pride is a powerful, emotional tool that stimulates people to get involved in a postive way and that’s what we’re having here. It’s kind of like a revolution going on around here. I like it.“I want to help, but I’m just a voice. I don’t have the money others do. I have to use my “fame” as a Tech alumus to lead the parade. Gladly, that will be my job. I’ll be actively involved with helping recruit alumni and getting them to see the plan.” -- T. Scott Boatright

There is a photo gallery of Terry and the Tech Crew at the Gold event at Terry Bradshaw golf tournament which is about 22 pictures. The pics are great so check them out.

On one the News Star's blog there is a short piece Bradshaw thrilled: Dooley's No. 1 in his book

KTBS - TV (Northwest Louisiana Market)had excellent coverage of Bradshaw's visit and his thoughts as to Louisiana Tech football in both their early evening and 10 pm news converge. You could tell he was pumped saying things if Ole Miss can fill the stands then Louisiana Tech should be able to do it, KTBS acted liked they would be delving into it more during the week. Check out this vid they have Terry Bradshaw-Tech Alum Wants Tech To Have More Socks Appeal .
