Tonights Lunar Eclipse and Christopher Columbus

As I feared I did not get to see a lot of it. In fact it appears because of cloud cover a lot of Southerner's might have been out of luck. I saw the start of it between cloud breaks. I did get the see the shadow start to recede from the full eclipse with the planets around it during a tiny other break in the clouds.

Anyway cool story here how a total Lunar eclipse saved Christopher Columbus's life in Jamaica(this was in the pre Sandals and Hedonism resort days :) )
