Could Ruston Peaches Be A Thing of the Past?

Wow this is depressing. I can't imagine there not being Ruston Peaches anymore. It appears this problem is not only a Ruston one though. Go see Rot killing peach trees in Ruston

Oh, my... one of the things I have so looked forward to in summer has been buying fresh peaches at the farmers' market in downtown Shreveport. I have made peach crisp, peach jams, peach pies...

why is the methyl bromide banned?

I think there will be some this year. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. It appears to be a a very regional problem. Perhaps Peach Famers can get an exception
