Louisiana Legislators Get Their French On In Congressional Redistricting Debate

Louisiana Congressional redistricting got heated and a little fun today. The AP reporter covering this tweeted today:

Melinda Deslatte Rep. Landry says second minority congressional district as proposed would "annihilate" the Acadiana region.



Melinda Deslatte Crowley Rep. Montoucet speaks in French to oppose the splitting of Acadiana among congressional districts.

Melinda Deslatte Other Cajun lawmakers try to get in on the French debate on the House floor. Some are better French speakers than others.
