This is actually a real CONVERT to the Catholic Church. Every ,including myself, often ignore the RCIA protocol we are not suppose to call people that have been baptized in other Faith Communities "Converts". That label is suppose to be just for people that coming in and are unbaptized. Well everyone just ignores that distinction and everyone is called a convert.
In this short vid it appears the Catholic connection was somehow lost in his family. His Grandfather is Catholic and the Meredith cites that as an influence.
Further I see from his bio he attended one of the noted Catholic High Schools in California
I am a huge proponent that the Catholic Faith of College Football players be highlighted. Especially since the media seems to focus pretty much solely on either Mormons or Evangelicals. THINK TEBOW.
