This controversy is getting sort of painful. The Archbishop of New Orleans has issued a statement here to St Augustine. In the end the school must submit to the Archbishop's directive whatever that might be in the end. However I do feel that St Aug is right here. Part of the problem is I think that in the current environement this is an example of the Church putting too much faith in "experts" that are not local. On the flip side I do hope that the St Aug faction will take the Archbishops regrets and statement to heart and move forward with him in this issue with a Christian attitude.
