LSU Baseball to Play Evil Catholics of Sacred Heart on Wednesday

Yesterday morning there there three undefeated teams in College baseball. Around 3 pm that number had decreased to two. Later in the day that number decreased to one with Oklahoma being the only unbeaten team left.

LSU won the weekend series against Princeton but yesterday's 8 to 7 loss was a downer. It was a weird weekend as LSU and Princeton just struggled to get all the games in because of the weather. Saturday's game was moved to 7 pm then 8pm before finally starting around 9 pm. The game finished around midnight which made a very early Sunday morning for both teams. Princeton showed up and LSU did not.

The best thing to come out of that loss was it was wake up call to the LSU players to not put too much stock in the glowing local press coverage they have got so far.

It is tempting too look ahead to the big series this week against Cal Fullerton. However we do have a game this Wednesday against Sacred Heart. Sacred Heart, the second-largest Catholic university in New England . from Connecticut is on a Southern tour this week. They managed to beat a very good Southeastern team this weekend in one game thought they lost the series.. After they finish playing us they shall journey up the road to Mississippi State and do weekend series there.

Sacred Heart like other Northern teams is has fewer game under their bet than their Southern counterparts. Before losing the series to Southeastern they had a win over Northeastern , a loss to Rhode Island and a win over St. Bonaventure

The Princeton Loss in game 3 should give LSU all the encouagement it needs not to look ahead

Here is the Sacred Heart Baseball page. Sacred Heart is a part of the Northeast Conference.
