The Theologian Between the Eastern and Western Churches- Leo Allatius (1586-1669)

Canterbury Tales has a nice entry on someone that I never heard of but seems very important. See Greco-Roman Theologian: Leo Allatius (1586-1669

I would love to find a english translation on the web of his De Ecclesiae occidentalis atque orientalis perpetua consensione ("The Western and Eastern Churches in perpetual Agreement")

Also he wrote about VAMPIRES or what Greek thought was about them.

The Wilki entry is pretty good and fair even though I suspect by how it is written it waswas done by a Orthodox that perhaps is not buying all he saying.

The one thing about living where I do is that I never get to enjoy and pray in the Eastern Catholic Churches that one sees in the larger cities and particular parts of the country. In fact I have never been in a Eastern rite Catholic Church in my life. Something I hope to correct soon.
