Southern Band Celebrates Obama At Bayou Classic

This past weekend was the great Bayou Classic in New Orleans between Grambling and Southern. The bad thing about the Bayou Classic is that it seems to be the only thing that matters at times between those tow fan bases. Going to the SWAC Championship who cares!!! seems to the attitude. It is one of those yearly "games" between two schools that makes you think fans do not see the big picture. Have a great season but lose the Bayou Classic and I am serious the Coach is feeling the heat.

Anyway this year Grambling won!!! Yea!!!! I am a Grambling fan.

As you can see the University Band got into the Obama spirit. GO here to see a even more interesting display by this band of Bethune-Cookman (scroll down).

I really don't have a problem with this STATE SUPPORTED BAND and SCHOOL doing this. I mean Bands are a part of Political events. It was a huge day for this country and for African Americans when he was elected. For all I know the Notre Dame band spelled out Kennedy after he was elected.

Though I hope, unless the future President Obama is present at a future University event, we don't see this during the 2012 campaign season.

Here is the problem I have with it --- had Alan Keyes been elected President, neither school would have given Keyes such an honor.

More solid proof that Grambling and Southern, along with most public universities, are solidly leftist and allies of the left. Indoctrination is the game. Thinking independently is DISCOURAGED. All hail dear leader!

Well I think you might have a point there :) Yeah If Keyes got elected would it be the same? Good question
