The Confederate Government Never Went Against Their Supreme Court

The reason this is that the Confederacy despite under being a obligation to do so never formed a Supreme Court.

I have always wondered as a Civil War buff why one never hears much about internal legal issues in the Confederate Governement. Now I have found out why.

If you are a History buff you might like too look at this pdf. THROUGH THE LOOKING-GLASS: THE CONFEDERATE CONSTITUTION IN CONGRESS,1861–1865, by David P. Currie in The Virginia Law Review, 8/19/2004

The very interesting dicussion revolving around why the Congress never formed a Supreme Court starts on page 110 of the document. A good bit of interesting history here and perhaps gives a clue that a extreme "States Rights" position was going to be doomed to fail anyway.
