We start out with Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message. He has his daily meditation at his post Feast of Saint Barbara (4 Dec 2007). It has a very Advent theme which is nice and relates to my previous entry.

Looking at the Birds and Considering the Lilies has a nice post up called Finding God in the silence.

Cajun Cottage Under the Oaks has a few nice post up since I checked in yesterday. That is Find Joy and this one Prepare for the Feast of St. Nicholas. The Saint NicholasPost is chocked full of ideas and I think as "I try to do Advent" I am going to do some of that. Also see her post Cookbooks Upon Your Pantry Shelf.

Alive and Young has a post up that is very interesting. That is Decoding Your Christmas Cards . That is quite something to do. It is amazing. We Americans get Christmas Cards by the bushel. Often with religious art all over them. How often do we take a real look at what is going on with that art and what the "artist" is trying to get across. Oh he has this post I've Been Memed! . He in turns Meme's me. Which means several people on my blog list are going to get memed tomorrow.

Catholic Underground has a preview of coming attractions as to their podcast. I think it comes out tonight. I am excited about this one(not to say I am not excited about the best Worldwide Catholic Podcast that just happens to come out of Louisiana every week). They will be talking about the Pope's new encyclical letter Spe Salvi. Go see Pope Benedict XVI, Spe Salvi & a cusixty for the details. I shall post it of course when they do it.

From The Recamier has her daily update here. I keep saying every one should stop by there and visit. If you read it you have coffee conversation material to fill 5 days up. She starts with the Saint for the day(which when she posted was for yesterday). That is Saint Francis Xavier, Priest (died 1552). It seems in Louisiana that Saint is all over the place. She has as usual the important stuff of the day. What happened , who died on this date etc. For instance we learn that"In 1929 President Herbert Hoover announced to the U.S. Congress that the worst effects of the recent stock market crash were behind the nation and that the American people had regained faith in the economy". Well I guess that was optimistic.

Catholic Tube as usual has great vids. This one looks like a good one. That is Grace in Suffering. According to the discription "Father Jonathan Morris responds to a question about how Pope John Paul II used humor, and his ability to communicate so well with so many. He also recollects how the ailing pontiff dealt with aging and suffering in such a public manner. (3 April 2005)"
