Louisiana Catholic Blogger Update For February 19, 2008

First I am adding two new Louisiana Catholic blogs I found.

The first is Ville Platte Catholic Youth Group.
Now this is a very well done site and is much more than just a site to say what the youth group it is up too. It is very well done and to be honest might be one of the better Louisiana Catholic blogs in the state. For instance look at the links.

They have two entries I want to note. A Catholic singer(they have the details at the link) will be be in Opelousas at Queen of Angels this Friday. Go see Kelly Pease in Concert.
Also a noted Catholic apologist is coming next month to Ville Platte. Go see Catholic Apologist Karlo Broussard to speak to VPCYG. This is open to all people and the entire community. I would go if Ville Platte was not like 3 hours away for me. Oh and Check out Pray the Way of the Cross at your computer

The next Louisiana Catholic blog I have found is The Last Bastion of Tradition . This blogger attends St Anges In Baton Rouge. Here is his last post. Hopefully if people comment he will update more!!!

Catholic Tube - Catholic Video Blog has a vid up called The Importance of Self Knowledge which is related to marriage and marriage preparation. Here is a homily entitled Never Give Up and a very interesting looking vid here called Fr. Rufus - Catholic Charismatic and Exorcist

Full Circle is talking about a milestone. Go see First birthday, first soccer game

From The Recamier has her latest update up here. She has no Saints to start out the day with but she has a mega post as usual with tons of interesting facts. Including on yesterdays date In 1885 Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published for the first time in America

Footprints on the Fridge has a post what her kids did on yesterdays holiday called Patriotic Punched Tin Craft

Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message (our Nawlins Expat Priest currently in Texas right now) has his daily meditation at Commemoration of Blessed Alvarez of Cordova (19 February 2008)

Looking at the Birds and Considering the Lilies has a nice post here Hallowed Time This is a post about his praying the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Alive and Young has a post up called Hey Jude in Diapers

Thoughts & Ruminations of Father Ryan has quite a few links up you should check out. I have problems linking his individual entries at times so I am going to supply the direct link for a while. He really recommends this oneNecessary reading for understanding the contradictions inherent in the liturgical theology of the "Spirit of Vatican II." . He also has a link to
A Final Word on Lay Ministers purifying the Sacred Vessels . Go to his entry today(Feb 19th) for a pretty blunt view of liberal Christianity by Cardinal George.

The Brown Pelican Society has the following links.

JH,

Thanks for linking to us at Ville Platte Catholic Youth Group. And, thanks for your very kind words.

Actually, however, your site is kinda what I'd like mine to be when I grow up.

May God bless you and keep you in His peace.
