LSU and LA Tech Handle Opponents and Tech's Big Game Against ULM Tonight

I woke up this morning and as usual went right to the Shreveport Times Sport section. It seems the same tiresome problem is repeating itself. That is the Times will have awful coverage of Louisiana Tech Baseball and often lacking coverage of LSU Baseball for many games. The Tech situation baffles me because that should be very much in their coverage zone. Anyway Thank the Lord for the Internet!!!

It seems that both LSU and Louisiana Tech Baseball shared a common thread last night. It was a very miserable night to play this game of summer and spring. I was thinking of trying to catch the second game of Tech's double header but decided against it because it was just Freezing with this very windy cold front that moved through. It appears that Baton Rouge had similar conditions.

LSU beat Southern last night 6 to 1 last night. The Advocate has the story at Verdugo’s effort paces LSU win. LSUsportsnet as usual has a nice write up on the game at Pitchers Pace Tigers Past Southern, 6-1 Dandy Don has has some good analysis under his entries for today. LSU continues play today against Mississippi Valley State at home. The game starts at 6:30 pm.

Louisiana Tech put in a very in a very solid performance in their double header agaisnt UT> The Bulldogs won the first game, 8-4, and took the second one 8-1. There is a small write up here at Tech Sweeps Doubleheader from UT-Arlington .

The big Tech Baseball news tonight is the big ULM game.Tech game which will be taking place in Monroe tonight at 6:30 pm. The News Star World has an article on this at RIVALRY RENEWED: ULM, Tech baseball coaches express mutual respect. This will be the first Home game for ULM so they sahll be pumped. However it is a home game after being on the road quite a bit. They were at Nicholls State over the weekend and Last night they were way down in Hattiesburg Missisippi playing Southern Miss. Of concern to Tech is that the Warhawks upset number 29 Southern Miss last night!!! Here is the news story on that. Both clubs are undefeated and this game shall be significant for many reasons. Both Schools are developing fine Baseball teams in the Northern part of the state and both will be undefeated going into this game tonight. Let us hope the Warhawks are spent.

This gameshould be availble available via the net through Peach 99.3FM at 6:30 tonight.
