New Latin Mass Available For Louisiana and Mississippi Folks in the Hometown of Brett Farve!!

I ran across this interesting tidbit. There appears to an Latin Mass offered on a trial basis in Southern Mississippi/Louisiana area. This is of interest to some Louisiana folks because it is very close to the border. First the report from the Una Voce-Southern Mississippi Chapter and their post First Public Tridentine Mass :

On Saturday, February 9th, Father John Noone celebrated Mass in the extraordinary Form marking the first public Tridentine Mass in Mississippi since around 2001. Over 100 people attended the Latin Mass at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln, MS, with some driving from over an hour away. Father Noone will continue to celebrate the Latin Mass through out Lent determining if there is a genuine interest for further celebrations in the extraordinary form. Please pray for Father Noone and for the Latin Mass to continue on the Gulf Coast.

According to the blog(go see there are pics!!!)
Father Noone will continue to offer the Extraordinary Form of Mass on all Saturdays of Lent at 6 P.M.
Please ask and pray for a continuance after this period.

So the question arises- Where the Hell is Kilin Mississippi? Well I did not know. Most of Knowledge of Mississipi is Natchez and North into the Delta.

Well in my research I found that it is the home town of Green Bay Packer Brett Favre!!! Perhaps he will show up.

Here is the map. It is located just North of Long Beach on the gulf. However it is easy driving distance of from thethe boot part of the state. For instance it is only 29 miles from Slidell.
