Yup, looks like a case of sour grapes to me.

I know it's difficult to make the decision to leave the priesthood...it sounds as if it would be like asking for a divorce from a person you love, but can't commit to. But there are ways to go about this.

Once he realized that he no longer believed in the vows he took, he should have gone through with the measures it takes to leave the priesthood...silently and without fanfare and with respect to the institution that cared for him those years that he was educated and cared for by the Catholic Church.

If he had waited to find a girlfriend afterward, so be it...but what he did was nothing short of adultery as far as I view it. And now he's looking to cash in on his decision by trashing his former "Bride".

I so agree. I know men that left the Priesthood and they did so quietly and the right way!!

I bet you also the Church will not get a dime from this book either to cover the cost of his education we fronted :)

I don;t believe for a moment the sex abuse crisis was the cause of him leaving the Priesthood
