Biblical Literacy Worldwide Not so Great

It is truly amazing with information so available because of the information revolution that we are in this situation. Even if one is not "religious" one should be able to pick stuff up.

The ironic thing is that as people's Biblical literacy goes down the amount of people who say that they can evaluate what are true Christian beliefs are for them( often absent an authority such as the Church in its either Catholic, Protestant, or Evangelical forms or structures) is going up.

We're suffering from information overload, and much of the information is of little value, yet we consume it like addicts consume their drug of choice. This we do instead of studying the Bible and the Fathers.

You know I wonder if the information overload contributes to a limited attention span and thus the ability not to retain infomation of perhaps people not taking the time to digest it
