I hear you. The first amendment is a wonderful thing. When you have freedom of speech inextricably tied to freedom of religion, rational people don't need to see the former as a threat to the latter.
Of course, the Church of Scientology sees all speech against it as a threat, even in the US. Perhaps that's because they realize that they aren't a real religion, and the first amendment won't protect them when their crimes are investigated. It's not illegal to speak out against them, so they just have to be satisfied with suing you and trying to frame and harass you, here.
Thanks for blogging about this. Free speech is something I care deeply about.
