Louisiana Catholic Blog Update for May 21st

Good Grief. I spent almost a hour getting all the links for the "Daily" Louisiana Catholic Blogger update and for some reason it did not publish. So we are starting over again!! Because of the last few days I have not been able to get it out. So needless to say it is a high priority for me today.
To make it worse I have a feeling I am coming down with something so I am rushing to get this out.
Here we go

Alive and Young has Random Thought: Cleaning ,Grocery Store Wars: A New Farm , Oh, The Humanity! and another edition of Not Said By Jesus Sunday . Also see What Can You Do With Six Bucks?

Full Circle has OK real estate agents and good post here at The cross of conversion - conviction over indifference

I don't have time to post all the links that The Brown Pelican has up ( Sadly I had them all up on the post that went poof into the ether of the net) but be sure to check them all out. Tons of good stuff and as usual is a must stop for the day

Ville Platte Catholic Youth Group has several posts up that are worth checking out. Go see I See Love by Third Day. See also this blog recommendation at Causa Nostrae Laetitiae. They talk about their trip to the Benedictine Monastery near Plaisance. Go see Pilgrimage Photos - May 2008. They have a whole bunch of reviews at Prince Caspian
gets a solid B+

Dei Gratia has a ton of links and posts up. All worth reading. Go see USCCB in bed with Sun Myung Moon?, Archdiocese of Indy sues Facebook, Posting again, and New Priestly Assignments here in the Diocese of Lafayette

Catholic Tube has a lot of good vids up. Go see The Miracle of Bella, Our Lady of Fatima, What Women Want, and Behold A Virgin Shall Conceive.

We now hit my two Fellow Diocese of Shreveport Bloggers. We have been busy up here with our new Bishop and their posts hit on that.

Vox Feminae has The Festivities Continue... , Bishop Michael Duca ordained and installed in Shreveport , and Vespers at St. John Berchmans

Apprentice of St. Joseph has several posts up as well. HE give his thoughts on the new Bishop and what perhaps we can expect up here at His Excellency Michael Gerard Duca, Bishop of Shreveport . On a related note see The Reformation of the Diocesan Website . He has Letter to Families - Commentary, Part I which is pretty good

Cajun Cottage Under the Oaks has really nice posts up on brothers and sisters at "Moments" Also see Simple Woman's Daybook: May 19, 2008

From The Recamier has her daily update here at Daily Update: May 20, 2008

I think this is a great post that Looking at the Birds and Considering the Lilies has up over the Koran Incident!!! I intend to highlight it again later. GO see Sacramental Economy

Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message has his daily message here at Feast of Saint Bernadine of Sienna (20 May 2008)

Thoughts & Ruminations from Fr. Ryan has a ton of great posts up. He talks about Archbishop Chaput and what he is saying about Pro-Choice politicians. More good news out of St Louis. VOCATION VOCATIONS VOCATIONS!!! Also go see Part of the Homily for MH Trinity Sunday, 2008. He also has A Homily from a School Mass last Year up. This is a real interesting tidbit. A little bit of important history in a recent Papal homily.

I hope I did not miss anybody but IF I need I will pick you in the next update!!!

James,

Yet again, you're doing yeoman's work. Thanks for the updates.

I asked the monks at the Abbey, and they said visitors are more than welcome to pray the Divine Office with them.

Also, they're having a nice little celebration for the Feast of St. Benedict this summer; and visitors are welcome then, too.
