Bobby Jindal Will Not be Anyone's VP in 08

I really have to wonder about the intelligence of some these Republicans and conservative pundits I hear. For the last couple of weeks there has been talk that Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal could be on the 08 ticket. That is silly. He has only been Govenor for weeks. Yet people keep hyping it. Why I don't know. I love Bobby but he is not going to be VP.

Finally someone from Louisiana is saying how silly all this talk is in this Picayune piece Jindal VP Talk is Premature.

some prominent conservative commentators, including Rush Limbaugh, are touting Governor Bobby Jindal as a potential Vice Presidential selection for the Republican Party. In fact, Limbaugh is hyping Jindal as the next Ronald Reagan. Jindal is a true conservative and an impressive leader. He is a young man with an extraordinary resume. In the fall, he won an overwhelming victory as Governor, defeating all of his opponents in the primary election and winning 60 out of 64 parishes across Louisiana. He won a clear mandate from the voters who were clearly attracted to Jindal's message.
However, at this point, he has only been Governor for a few weeks and has not had time to accomplish his agenda. Therefore, talk of tapping Jindal as a Vice Presidential nominee is not only premature, it is ridiculous.

Of course it is. Maybe in the future but not this year. Again this causes me to wonder why we are lsitening to these people that are suppose to be in the know.

The reason they are mentioning him, even though they know he won't be the VP, is because they are trying to get him national attention for 12 or 16. The longer they let his name circulate in the atmosphere, the more people will be prepped for that name in the 12 or 16 election.
