THe Louisiana Catholic Roundup For August 10

ALL CATHOLICS AND LOUISIANA RESIDENTS ESPECIALLY GO TO BOTTOM OF POST TO SEE HOW OUR FAITH IS UNDER ATTACK

As we proceed througth the blog posting schedule it is time to do the morning roundup of Louisiana Catholic Blogs.

Starting Off in the Diocese of Lafayette, From the Reclaimer blog has another nice post . She goes into Teresa Benedicta of the Cross that was another Catholic of a Jewish background. Of course reading this we think of Cardianl Lustger in Paris that has just passed away. Also there are as usual other historical facts for the day.

Dei Gratia hits on the Canon Law article dealing with Deacons.

Catholic Tube that should be on everyones list has three great Catholic Vids since I checked in last with him. Here is a video promoting vocations especially the priesthood. A new video from That Catholic Show. Here is a graphic video talking about the wrongs of abortion.

Going to the Diocese of Lake Charles , we go to Cajun Cottage Under the Oaks. I am thinking she might be in the Diocese of Lafayette. She has a post on craft preparation that is of interest to homeschoolers and non home schoolers alike. Here is a post she did called Busy Summer day.
She will also being a Homeschooling event cajun style tomorrow in Abbeville.

The Lake Charles Latin Mass Society has a post commenting on their Bishops great Pastoral letter.

Driving now a little north to the Diocese of ALexandria we go visit Thoughts & Ruminations from Fr. Ryan He has some fun pics and a very serious one. I think it is a crying shame that Americans(at least non hispanic) are not aware more of the people who died for the faith that occurred really that too long ago. I am including myself as being too ignorant too. He also has a quote from JFK we should take note of.

Going now to the ArchDiocese of New Orleans let point out quickly that I did a highlight post of the new edition of their Catholic Paper here.

Blessed in Nola has a fun post on what Season are you. Take the test

Fr. Kenneth Allen is not too thrilled about some Antennas :)

Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message has a great post on the feast of St Edith Stein.

We now end in the Diocese of Baton Rouge that has a lot of output.

Both Astonished, Yet at Home! and For the Greater Glory have real important posts yesterday and today. Most deal with how Bobby Jindal is having his faith used against here as he runs for Governor. I am going to do a another post highlighting those so the blogsphere might pick that up. Christians and Especially Catholics have a obligation to make sure that people know this is unacceptable and people that do it shall be punished at the voting booth.

Astonished, Yet at Home! ahs these important post on the Congressman Jindal. Those are Defending Bobby Jindal Against Religious Bigotry and Misunderstanding , First Thoughts on the Story of Jindal and the Demon , and Bobby Jindal Beats a Demon . Read them all.

A few Days ago Astonished posted a article by the big Catholic blogger Mark Shea on the Emergent Church movement. I intereacted with that piece and Shea went more into his thoughts after Tobis alerted him to our post. Check it out at Mark Shea Responds on the Emergent Church . I agree that is much more balanced view.

For the Greater Glory is on this too. He has two must read pieces here and here. Those pieces give lots of details and links. This infuriates me . My next post is going to on this too so bloggers nationwide hopefully start to care about this. Catholics in Louisiana if they are Democrat need to call their party and tell them to stop. If you are a Republican we need to call the State GOP and tell them that they did to tell people this is off limits. More later

THe Brown Pelican Society has a ton of post too today.
