Do United States Catholics Have Major Language Problems spreading the Gospel

I rather enjoy reading Christianity Today. It is a smart well put together magazine for the a mainly Evangelical audience.

I was reading the August edition today and say a article that caused me concern. IT was called Scrambling for Bibles by Christopher Lewis. It was on page 46 of the magazine.

Basically it noted how even though the Bible is in 15411 languages , many of those versions of the Bible are next to impossible to find here in the USA. This becomes a real concern with immigrants and refugees. The problem goes from Copyrights to just outdated distribution.

This is the rub. If the Evangelicals are having problems , I hate to even imagine what the Catholic situation is. What are the chances of finding Catholic Bibles easily accessible in Somali. I don't even want to think about Catechisms and other materials. How many Catholics are we losing a year because we are not serving them in this way? Something to be concerned about and correct.
