A Great LSU YOU TUBE MEMORY and the LSU News Roundup For THis Friday

This is the famous Shot Shot Across the Bayou that brought us in the National Championship in 1996. This is in honor of two Tigers playing for the Cubs that brought it home for us in 2000. I am watching them play and when another article comes up hopefully I can locate a YOu Tube Vid of that game

LSU News.

We are going to start out with the great Tradition of Tiger Baseball. The Shreveport Times has a great group of stories and all dealing with how our former Tigers Ryan Theriot and Mike Fontenot are taking Chicago by storm. If you recall they were big players in getting us the NC in 2000. Infact they were critical on the last play against Standford to bring home the National Championship for us.Here is another article entitled Roy Lang III: North, South love Theriot, but differ on 'The Riot'. More fun quotes, even though there are few Southerners or Cajuns I suspect that really are offended taht people not calling him Theriot as his granddad so well points out. There were 4 audio interviews that were available with the guys and including one with the Club manager that seems to have been moved some place. Once I find it I will update this page. Here is a good interview with Skip Bertman on our tigers playing for the Cubs that ran in a Illinois Paper last week.

'Minor' hamstring injury KOs Dorsey the advocate reports. This was talked about yesterday by Miles and he said it is not serious.

Jackson is strong, silent type for Tigers is a good article on Tyson Jackson that is the Picayune.
The article on page 2 talks of how the the reintroduction to the Louisiana Heat for some veterans is taking a toll as can be expected

Speaking of that issue , the Advocate has a big The heat is on LSU using 'old school' method to combat problems. I can't even imagine. Those days when I did anything close to that in the hot summer days is long long. Well, at least as you can tell from the pic they have pretty and well trained girls that are the angels of mercy. The article is a good read and it goes into how the heat has been dealt with in the past. Something we pray HIgh school coaches are doing.

Guilbeau has his LSU Notes: For Fisher, his time is now- That deals with our punter. Guilbeau hits on some other things also that would be of interest to LSU fans.

Going to the Blogs and other sites-
Random Collection of Sports Thoughts is going to start blogging on LSU sports among other things. He has his first post up. GO by and encourgae him. I am slowly introducing the LSU blogs visit. I think this is an area LSU can imporve on. Say what you will about Notre Dame. But their blogs are more numerous and often more detailed. Since we are a powerhouse now we need to change that.

Dandy Don has another great post on the practices and other thoughts. By the way he thanks you for your prayers about his sister in law. Keep praying. BY the way want to meet a former LSU Tiger that was a baseball player. Well Just do like 100 down I-10 near Lake Carles and you might. Dandy reports that Former LSU first baseman Jordan Mayer has been hired by Louisiana State Police and will be stationed at Troop D in Lake Charles after he graduates from the State Police academy.

THe LSU sports site has info for Fan day this Sunday.

The following are LSU events of interest I saw at Dandy Don
