Since I had no computer for almost 48 hours there is a lot to catch on for me on the Louisiana Catholic blogger Roundup.
We start with Astonished Yet At Home. Please keep his dad in your prayers. Go for more details to his post Update on My Father .
Tobias has a an excellent resources for Catholic women here at his post Blessed 14 Times Over! . He has a link to interesting and good story in the Baton Rouge Advocate
Why Austin Is Smarter Than Baton Rouge . Let me count the ways why that is so. Biker Ballad is a link to a Charlie Rose piece on the random music you hear in New Orleans. Dale Earnhardt Jr is not too happy about things being said about his step mother. Go Tobias's link here at Class Act . He has a link to what looks at a interesting post at Vox Nova that is about growing in Spirituality with the Saints. Go to Feeling Dry? for more.
These seems like a must. Go to Sacred Music Is Our Heritage which show the 50 Chants that all Catholics worldwide need to know as the essentials. Tobais has a nice personal post called the Passing Thoughts on the Recovery of Friendships . Here is a music vid he put up called The Band - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down .
The Brown Pelican Society again has a lot of post. He has some post I missed on SundayI am going to highlight later. First he has the Saint of the day. A Catholic favorite. That is Saint Monica. He has the daily meditations on today's gospels at his post TODAY'S GOSPEL & MEDITATION - I Am My Brother’s Keeper? Because I did have my computer yesterday I missed the Pope's Angelus. It seems like a good one and expect a full translation coming up on a morning post. Here is the News Wire's overview at Get Your "Passport" Ready for Heaven, Says Pope. He has a link to a news article about a Speech Fred Thompson made here at Thompson Delivers Sober and Serious Speech. I am sure a controversial piece here . Go to Why Liberals Always Protect Perverts.
This is pretty shocking. Go read NFL Franchise Accused of Aiding Abortion Industry. This is a link to a a 1983 political pro-life tract by Reagan. It is called Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation: Ronald Reagan’s Pro-Life Tract . He ends with one final prolife piece. Go to Presidents and Abortion: What Are Pro-Lifers Looking for in a Presidential Candidate?
We Now go from the Diocese of Baton Rouge to the Diocese of Lafayette and see what those bloggers are doing.
The Great Apologetics Source Catholic Tube from a Diocese of Lafayette bloggers has some vids up. This is a promotional Vid for the Right to Life .
From The Recamier has a great post up. She talked about the Saints we honored on the 25th(Saint Louis IX, King of France died 1270 and Saint Joseph Calasanz died 1648. The bios are very interesting and I think Louisiana folks would be very interested. She mention St Louis King of France is Patron of New Orleans. She also has a important Louisiana History fact for that date as well as other important Worldwide history.
We end with the New Orleans EX Pat Fr. Victor Brown’s Catholic Daily Message. He has a great meditation on Saint Monica.
