I keep hearing about only a handful of Bishops that onjected to the Obama visit to Notre Dame. Usually there term "right wing" is somehow put in as a modifer too.
I have to admit this is an impressive list. Pro-Ecclesia has it at Notre Dame's President Jenkins: "We Are Tremendously Proud" to be Acting in Defiance of the US Catholic Bishops

The problem with efforts to dismiss these bishops as "right-wing" is that a number of them are anything but. Off the top of my head, I can think of Wenski, Lynch, Gettelfinger (who also boycotted an appearance by GOP Chairman Michael Steele at an event in his diocese), and Pilarczyk.
Exactly many of these Bishops are label very much not right wing but that does not stop the false reporting even sadly in Catholic circles
