As to the picture above I got that here. What is that? It is St Martin de Tours in St Martinville Louisiana . We learn:
This is the mother church of the Acadians. The first church was built on this site in 1773. The present building was built in 1836. It is the fourth oldest Catholic church in Louisiana. The church still has box pews, enormous columns, and an ornate baptismal font that was reportedly given by King Louis XVI of France. Oddly enough, though the church was founded by French priests, it was an Irish priest that associated it with it's parton saint, St Martin, in 1790. There is a portrait of St Martin behind the altar. Inside of the church is a replica of Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto which was built of clay and moss in 1870.

That seems like a good fundraiser. I didn't know the profit return on such a thing was so huge. Sure beats cooking and selling Chicken dinners for hours and hours
