I think many of sane Republican bloggers have to try to lower the temperature a tad and look to the future. I understand that politics is not bean bag. That we all will be vigourous advocates for our guy.
However it is going to be real tempting to go for the kill in a way that might hurt us all. I am even guilty of this. Right now for instance I am not thrilled with Romney. However I will go out and support him 100 percent if he is the nominee. I have to check myself at times to see if I am being objective as to my complaints as to him. I think I have. However it is really eay to hit that submit button in a fit of anger.
The same should go for people that are supporting Romney and McCain. We are all quite edgy right now.
I thought tonight would settle it. I don't think it will. I think Mike Huckabee(my guy) very well might make some serious pick ups. I think Romney will do well in California. McCain needless to say will do well.
One further point. No one and I mean no one has supporters that are pure as the driven snow and that say things that drive us up the wall. We need to be careful of attributing what "Blogger x" or "personality x" says to the individual candidates. I think it is very easy in this first blogland contested Primary of our age to fall into that trap.
I have seen a lot of bloggers that respected each other are now at each others throats. I hope that damage is quickly repaired. There needs to be some forgiveness on all sides when this is over.
