Are We in the New Springtime of the Church?

The Dormation of Elvis was not the main post I wanted to highlight at Whispers in the Loggia for this morning. However Elvis today needs his own special spot. :)

Whisper's has this post called Summer of '07 = Spring of '62. It talks about the reception of the MP we have seen in the early stages and the people in the pews reaction.

In the end I want the more wider acess of the extraordinary form of the Mass to effect the regualar form of the Mass in a positive way. But I also echo the thoughts of the Bishop of the Diocese of Vermont when he says "And if this is what it takes to fill our churches, so be it!".

If guided correctly this can be nothing but a good for the Church. That is why I am cannot understand the opposition to it.

By the way, Father Z has much more on that Mass that was celebrated by the Bishop of Burlington Vermont here(with video clips).
