Introducing the Louisiana Brown Pelican Society

This is one nifty Louisiana Catholic site. I shall be putting it in the Diocese of Baton Rouge blogger Link section. The Brown Pelican Society is a lay Catholic organization, dedicated to educating the public on pro-life issues before the Louisiana Legislature. For instance one can see if your Catholic Legislators voted for the Culture of Life or the Culture of Death here. All broken down by Diocese. The scorecard has information on the 2006 general session. There should be a update as to the 2007 session that just ended if Right to Life Issues were discussed.

However it is more than just a political site. It is a darn good Catholic site that touches on many issues. For instance, already they have a post up on the just released Vatican Document about the Truth that the Catholic Church is the Church.

Hopefully this site would be promoted.

By the way , my next post will be all about Pelicans. What do Pelicans have to do with Catholicism? Wait and see.
