How sad. Who knows how this happens but I bet it's a good bet there is a Gambling Problem involved if he is guilty. See Louisiana priest arrested for theft

My first thought when I saw your Twitter feed was gambling if, as you said, he is guilty. We've seen so many cases of trusted, otherwise perfectly moral people succumb to that addiction.
Very sad.

SO true and one reason I bet that might be is his age I mean he is like 64 years of age. Gambling is one of those things that you think Oh I will win it back and give it back. Its not stealing etc etc. I am just borrowing etc etc. Happens all the time
