LSU Baseball- Honoring Wally and Living the Dream Through Nicholas Pontiff

Wally Pontiff
Nicholas Pontiff
Non LSU and Non Louisiana folks might have missed if you were watching the series this past weekend some special moments for us. I suspect I was not the only that teared up when Nicholas came in and did a huge important play against Irvine in Game 2 and was one of the last players to to take a swing at Alex Box.
For many LSU fans the famous "Pistol Pete"Maravich death affected them greatly. He was a tad before my time. But for LSU fans of my generation Wally's death was much like that I think.
I am very glad that Nicholas has lived his own life and not lived in the shadow of his brother. What great parents too to make sure that did not happen.
Louisiana is a mixture of different people. However I have found that even the most hard core Baptist LSU fan has no doubt that Wally at times is LSU's Baseball unofficial Saint and is interceding for us all the time.
Be sure to visit the Wally Pontiff Jr. Foundation which has a ton of stuff.
