Even though I have been Catholic for a number of years now, Catholic funerals are still a rarity for me. That is partly (1) because as a Catholic Convert I have few family or lifelong friends associated with Family that are catholics and (2) The part of Louisiana where I live is very non Catholic. So Catholic Liturgical Funeral rites are still sort of new to me.
Anyway the Lady that died always took a interest in me years ago when I converted. She has not lived her for years though because her son put her in a Catholic Nursing home in Monroe so he could care for her close to home.
Anyway posting will be sporadic a tad today ,
