More LSU You Tube Memories(OLE Myth Game) and Football News

What a You Tube memory this is from last year. LSU fans sometimes need a stark reminder that every game is dangerous and that goes especially in the SEC. I was at this game last year and was about to jump off the top of Tiger Stadium. This was one of those games that was just special. I lost my voice almost for a couple of days after. This is from the Ole Miss game last year. We had just beaten Alabama and were apparently all thinking too much of the Arkansas game coming up.
We were all in shock that OLE MYTH was beating us. Well this is was in the final seconds of the 4th Quarter.
Jamarcus Russell to Dwayne Bowe on a last chance, 4th down effort as time was winding down in the 4th quarter. Video shot from the student section as you can see the Crowd went wild. OF course right after this we miss the extra point and had to go into overtime but I think we knew we had it after this.

On to the LSU news.

Bad news smokers and yes I am one of you. NO smoking in Tiger Stadium at all anymore. Even on the concourse. I think a lot of people will be doing a lot of quick trips to the bathroom. I would ove to see a marshal enforce that in there. There is also some important parking info in that link. Including that vehicles may not park on the shoulders of Nicholson Drive between North Stadium Drive and Gourrier Lane prior to 7 p.m. on Fridays before football games.

Ok Dandy Don has a good post up on recruiting and offers some needed advice to LSU fans. LSU fans, God love them, have sometimes the most unrealistic expectations coupled with the fact that God is about to intervene and make us go into suckitude overnight. Thus everything is a postential crisis. LSU FANS RECRUITING IS GOING FINE. PLEASE CAN WE ENJOY LIFE FOR ONCE AS A LSU FAN WITHOUT ALL THIS DOOM AND GLOOM. I can't link the the individual post but here is part of it

In other recruiting news, there are strong rumors that LSU will pick up at least two more commitments in the next week to 10 days. I have been told that Les Miles and his assistant coaches are very happy with the way recruiting is going up to this point. Coach Miles and his staff are being very selective in who they offer scholarships to and who they take commitments from. I have received tons of emails from readers asking why LSU is taking commitments from so many players who are not five- or four-star players. I can assure all Tiger fans that Les Miles would not be accepting commitments from players in the middle of the Summer if they were not top prospects. I like the star rating system, but not as much as I like the way the LSU coaches rate players. Coach Miles and his staff like to invite prospects to attend one or more Summer camps for three days to get a first hand look at their skills before extending scholarship offers. A coach can learn a lot about a prospect by having him at camp for a few days. I believe that this coaching staff is good at judging talent and I believe the coaches know that winning is the name of the game and that you have to have great talent to compete in the SEC. I might feel different about the 2007 signing class the closer we get to signing date, but I am not ready to call this signing class a bust. While on the subject of recruiting, I want to remind all of you who are not happy with the way that recruiting is going that 21 of the first 100 players drafted in the 2007 NFL draft were two-star prospects or less. I also want to bring to Tiger fans' attention that seven projected starters on defense for the 2007 season were three-stars or less coming out of high school.

The Advocate has a nice piece by Rosetta called TIME TO TALK ABOUT LSU FOOTBALL.

Expect more LSU bloggers and News to be added to this hopefully daily entry. Also I am a Tech Grad so expect some news about my beloved Dawgs too.
