From the New Orleans Picayune we have the article Miles says LSU scrimmage is 'a good go'. I think this article gives an good overview of the scrimmage that occured yesterday.

From the Shreveport Times, Guilbeau(Gannett papers), has a article entitled Flynn, Doucet shine in LSU scrimmage. I think that Lee, our incoming freshman quarterback from Texas , is really turning some heads.

Guilbeau also has this article entitled LSU Notes: Freshman back makes impression on Miles. He also has other observations. Such as our guys must be breathing a sigh of relief that today is fan day and there is no practice. It has been a pleasant summer but the whole state now is under a heat warning. I can only imagine what it has been like for them. It was 102 yesterday in Shreveport and I was on the Lake in shorts and still was complaining

The next are two stories that are just great. One day I going to write about the young men that go out and endure alot just to be part LSU football. Even though many of them will not see much play time. We need to appreciate these guys more. I am very impressed with all our backup quarterbacks. Great character and it appears they got some skill. I am going to watch them.

The Advocate has a article entitled Dream come true. All about how our walk on Quarterbacks that relish a chance to play at LSU. Even if one is not a LSU fan but a Tech fan (As I am) or another fan of another state school this is good for Louisiana. LSU as well as the other programs represent our state in a real visible way.

I like the Quality of several of the Tigers coming on board. They may never play in the pros. Some might. Who knows what will happen in the next 4 or 5 years. But people like these quarterbacks and players like the incredible player Barksdale from Michigan to name a few really add something to the program.

Moving on to the LSU blogs. I shall be adding the other biggies tomorrow.


First we are adding another LSU blogger on the links. That is Baudoin's Blog. He will have some LSU related posts and will be putting the columns he writes up for the Abbeville Meridional. HE also it appears will write on other stories of Louisiana interest. Perhaps even High School might be a topic. I might be going into that and cover the North Louisiana teams as well. We shall see. Anyway keep watching his blog with his articles located here.

Dandy Don as you can expect has a big post today. He is always a good read.
