This a great vid of of LSU defense agaisnt Arizona last year. The opening screen shot says "Auburn you are Next" that was so true. We lost that game but Auburn has said they never recovered tht season from how physical our guys were.
Good News we see in the Advocate. Jones, Astros fail to reach deal it reports. Les Miles and the LSU nation breaths a sigh of relief.
ALL the LSU sports boards are gossiping about this. The Advocate reports that Flynn passes on afternoon drills. My advice to people is take with a huge grain of salt what these people are saying on the net. These are often the same folks that wanted to crucify Les Miles last year for not playing Flynn more. What we did not know was that Flynn had a injury and Les didn't want the whole SEC to know about it. Oh well so much for inside knowledge.
Glen Guilbeau(Gannett papers) has this excellent article on our HARVAAARD quarterback -LSU has 'well-schooled' fourth-team quarterback. I wish every day on ESPN they would highlight players like this that contribute to the team ,but will likely not see alot of playing time. This guy might be great and have talent that can be exploited. However he might see few plays in college career. Still he is out there contributing to the team in a million ways. That is true love of the game.
The Picayune has a article on Brandon LaFell called LaFell expects to be starting new chapter.
The Advocate has this piece on Keith Zinger called Zinger ready for start of season.
The Picayune has a lot of LSU news in this article titled Alem looking for starting spot.
Pat Forde at ESPN has got a article up that talks about LSU , Les Miles, and SEC.I am not too happy with his tone. ALso I get the impression that Mr Fordce thinks we southerners still use party phone lines, have outhouses, and are pretty much ignorant.
Bayoubuzz has some LSU news plus a interview in Louisiana Sports Buzz: LSU QB, Interview With Defense Coordinator.
The LSU sports site has this -Three Tigers on ESPN Preseason All-America Team.
The Advocate reports that the women's Vollyball team is ranked 23 preseason.
In Soccer news the LSU sports site has this nice post Lee Previews Soccer Season at Media Day.
Big Lady Tigers Basketball News. Porsha Phillips is about to become a Georgia Bulldog. What is up with this? This sucks
Getting back to Football news- Let us look at our opponent in our first game. Here is a article in the Sporting News called Croom's Bulldogs get ready to bite. Woof :)
On to the Blogs-
Dandy Don has another great post up. HE hits on a lot of LSU news plus is trying to get us to focus on Miss State. Every SEC game is a dangerous game folks. I find this on his site and if you are a LSU fan in Mississippi(I am sorry) take note of this
Hello Tiger Fans! The time has come and we're finally getting an LSU car tag in the state of Mississippi! We are in the early stages of collecting pre-order applications and fees to send off to the Mississippi DMV. The LSU Trademark and Design will be submitting our tag design to the state once we receive 200 applications. As of August 15th, we've received 53. In order to obtain your specialty tag, you must be a Mississippi resident, have a valid Mississippi license plate on your vehicle, and pay the $51 fee with the application. Once the tags are designed and completed, someone from the tag committee will contact you to inform you that your tag(s) can be picked up at your county tax collector's office. For a copy of the application and more information, you may contact one of the following committee members: Amy McDonald, amymc08@yahoo.com 601-695-3932 Deborah Monsour, mondeb26@bellsouth.net 601-992-2749 .
The Tiger Stop blog has a post up on Chad Jones and has news on Deangelo Benton.
And THe Valley Shook blog has a good post up today. He hits on what bloggers and other SEC boards are saying too.
