Can A woman Use the "PIll" for Health Reasons?

I am finally getting around to adding some links to my areas of my blogroll. Some of the blogs I will be adding will be truly "Catholic" That is that they will be non USA Catholic blogs. Of course most of these will be English/Anglo blogs since I can't read anything else besides. That is not a bad thing because as General Patton said in World War II it was destiny that Anglo Catholic bloggers would rule the World , or something like that :) I

I am going to be introducing and other UK Catholic bloggers you might want to check out later today. New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and other areas will be added later

By some weird chance of fate I have three Catholic Doctor/Med students on my links and they are all British. They are also young , orthodox , good looking ,and married to people that are like getting degrees in Astro Physics or the such. We will try not to hate them.

Anyway, Antonia's World is one of those. She has a wonderful blog I check out daily. About a week ago I asked her a question on the moral and ethical problems of women using the pill for the primary purpose of something not associated with birth control. She kindly responded back by doing a great post on it. I think it is important because Doctors really push the pill for these reason.

This also brings up another subject. I am not going to pretend to be holier than thou on this blog. In my journey in the faith I have sinned and struggled. This is one of those areas. In fact after that drama in my life , that I have talked about, I would try try to rationalize this away . To Catholic guys, this is something we need to consider. If you are engaged even in sex outside of marriage this sin often applies to us. Oh and there is no "Protestant girl" exception either. In fact it makes it worse for us because we enabled that sin despite knowing better.

I have made mistakes. I too despite knowing better did not really engaged the Church teachings on this subject. In fact , I think my not being open to life had some pretty devastating consequences for me and others I loved dearly. In other words don't make the same mistakes I and countless less others have made. If my lfie situation permits it I will not do that again.

Anyway the fact that this could be in many case an abortifacient is pretty horrifying to think about.
