Heineken Beer Is the Official Beer of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Marian Days 2010

An interesting observation I saw on Twitter.

  1. don't mean to paint all Vietnamese with the same brush. But all stores' signs say, "Welcome to Marian Days! Heineken 12-pk. 12.99" #hmmm
  2. One thing Marian Days has taught me: Vietnamese people love Heineken beer. Why is that? #fascinating
Who knew? Maybe Catholic Parishes should give out free Heineken after the Mass this Sunday celebrating the Feast of the Assumption. I suspect it would be a big hit!!

See may other stuff on this years Marian days at More Coverage of U.S. Catholics Largest Gathering (Marian Days 2010)

They are most likely targeting the Vietnamese audience. The Vietnamese are quite notorious of partying hard with Heineken brand beer, and Marian Days is a festival primarily for Vietnamese-Catholics.
