I disagree with Vitter strongly on his stance regarding immigration reform. However I must comment on this that I saw on twitter this morning from the Press Secretary of the Louisiana Democratic Party.
True story: In 1843 a ship full of illegal immigrants named Vitter landed in New Orleans on a boat from France. http://bit.ly/cBTtBi.
Well that is interesting though it does not appear to me that those Vitters were actually illegal aliens.
However what is going on here. On the whole I can't tell much difference between Charlie Melancon and Vitter on the issue.!! I guess the purpose is to perhaps have pro immigration reform Democrats outside Louisiana send Charlie money. Lord this anti immigration guy gives Charlie his SEAL OF APPROVAL.
So pro immigration reform Dems send your money to Charlie if you want. But it appears to me that he will be a pretty firm no on any meaningful Comprehensive Immigration reform that includes Pathway to Citizenship.
