I followed the Chelsea Clinton wedding. It might be the slight Monarchist in me at times but I enjoy watching and following these events. I though some conservative blogs (OH LOOK AT THE COST) were a tad stick in the mud and sounded like the Dems during the Reagan administration complaining about Nancy and her high priced gowns and State Dinners. Regardless I had a interest.
Get Religion rightly noted that the major publications did not report muchon the religious details of the wedding which seems odd because I think people would be interested. See How Jewish was Clinton’s wedding?
Well the answer to that question is very Jewish! it appears and not very Methodist (See Ark Times Link Below) at least to this untrained eye. Though if they were spared the "Unity Candle" thing and another rendition of Wing beneath my Wings (This is actually more of a Baptist Thing It seems at Weddings) then that was a plus..
The program at the end has a explanation of the Jewish rituals which is cool and helpful for many of us that have never been to a Jewish wedding.

Sadly, more proof that the UMC is the tofu of the religious world. It only takes on the flavor of the religions around it.
