Could Pro-Life State Senator Senator Sharon Weston Broome Be New Congresswoman In the New Louisiana Black Majority District?

This is sort of an update to my post So It Begins- Who Will Lose Their Congressman in Louisiana Redistricting

As I said in that post

2) I really want to look at the numbers and see how many people from North Baton Rouge are this district. Has their been a further Black power shift from the New Orleans area to Baton Rouge? Answer YES!!!

(3) Will not largely Conservative white Catholic Democrats and Republicans be the king makers in this District. Thus making sure in this district if a Black Democrat is elected they would be likely pro-life and friendly on other concerns. Sort of where the black community is at already but often their leaders are not.. The white demographic shifts from liberal white New Orleans to Conservative Houma!! (Note we now have closed primaries but there are a ton of white Catholic Democrats in these parishes they are picking up. Plus very social conservative black Catholic and other Democrats!!!!)

Now I am a big CAO fan and I pray by some miracle he can win again. But it is an uphill struggle. So if in 2012 he is not there is not Pro-Life- Pro -Family African American and President Pro Tempore of the Louisiana State Senate Sharon Weston Broome in a perfect position to win this seat.

It would be hard to keep her district out of the new likely black majority District.

I have to think that both whites and African Americans in Baton Rouge would vote for her in bloc over the New Orleans person. She would be liked in the new Parishes that would be added.

IN fact is she not very friendly with people like the Louisiana Family Forum that proposed this map!!! In fact she has even received a award from them!!

WIN WIN

Update- Can you think of ANY pro-life African Americans in the House? I can't. It would be very good for the PRo-life movement.
