Pope In Africa - Day One- Links

I Shall try to update this through out the day.

The trip will have some importance because :

(1) The centrality of Africa in Christianity's future
(2) The Holy Father will touch on topics that are hot button issues and the Press no doubt will sensationalized
(3) The Pope's interaction with Muslims on this trip
(4) We should get hints of the long awaited Papal Statement on Social Justice and economic concerns that keeps being delayed. It is currently being re written in part because of the world wide banking crisis.

Related to point 4 there is some talk that this could be one of the more important Catholic statements on Social Justice concerns since the ones from the late 1800's
