Why Do Anti Immigration Reform Conservatives Want Rahm Emanuel Gone?

Politics is a very personal business. In fact with the Internet I think it has got way too personal. It seems to cloud people's judgement. I sometimes wonder if under the guise of good Government we are making too much of a reality like TV show where we root for our guys and hate the opposition and pray we can vote them off the show.

Now there has been a lot of controversy over recent Rahm Emanuel "retarded" comments. FIRE HIM people say!!

I along with some other Republicans thought that was a tad too drastic.

However if you are one of those people out there that thinks "Amnesty" of illegal aliens will destroy America ( I don't hold this view) why would you want him fired? Yet I see people on the net that think this is an issue of paramount important wanting to pile on the guy

When it appears he is playing a significant role in seeing that this issue goes no where.

This is nothing new. by the way . However it might be new to many because they don't quite realize how deceptive the Obama administration is on this issue. If you are against what some call "Amnesty" then keeping Emmanuel in power is CRUCIAL for success while you are in this dangerous time of Super Democrat majorities. He does a good job of making sure the Obama administrations looks like it will do something when in reality they will not. Why urge that the smoke and mirrors guy get fired that keeps the Catholics who want immigration reform and other allied groups duped.

Does this make any strategic sense from your point of view. It seems it is very important if you have this view to keep him there. The man closet to the President and has his ear and is the ultimate gatekeeper!!. Heck quite personally the way the Obama White House is fumbling along why would the GOP leaning folks want him fired at all.

Still it is curious how people get involved in the soap opera part of all this and advocate things that are 180 degrees from their interest. They get lost in the movement and can't think of consequences beyond the monetary thrill of some partisan short termed victory This seems to be happening more and more on all sides on many issues.

It is sort of Like with John McCain and Senator Graham on other issues. There are conservatives that think the number one priority is getting rid of these RINOS. Yet many of these people are the same that think the War on Terror is of huge importance. What would happen if that cause lost these two men which I think we can all agree have given great contributions. These same folks suddenly pull a Scarlet O Hara and go " I'll think about that tomorrow".

I am sure I can think of how liberals do this too.
