LSU Baseball Defeat the Evil Apostles of John Wesley (LSU 5 Centenary 4)

lsMike the Tiger chewed up Centenary and Arminianism last night .

Well the first game of 2010 for most of College Baseball is in the books. For LSU's part they beat Centenary College in game 1.

The Advocate has an overview at Closer than expected . Well I am not sure how unexpected this result was. In fact LSU is no stranger to winning the opener by just a point. Centenary still shows the marks of being the good team they had last year. A team that went on a nice run . It is also a team that has a lot of diverse talent from all the over place.

It is sort of sad watching this series since the future of playing Centenary as well as traditional foe UNO is unknown since both schools will be going down to DIV III ( A HUGE MISTAKE IMHO).

Anyway a must stop is Carl Dubois place where he has a recap of the game and a ton of links that include Coach and Player interviews that you can listen too.

The LSU Tigers shook off the rust last night and is hoping for a better overall performance tonight.

On other related Louisiana and College baseball news ULM pulled a nice opening "Upset" over Ole Miss last night in that opener up at Oxford. See ULM stuns No. 17 Ole Miss in baseball season opener . Also see Ole Miss loses 1st baseball opener since 1981 . The only other SEC team to lose in opening action last night was Auburn though MSU got a heck of a scare from RHODE ISLAND.
