Former LSU Player Kevin Mawae Retiring From NFL- Also At This Point Working At Vanderbilt LINKS

Pics From Mawae Talking to the Team in August 2010

Big news!! The Dean of LSU football players in the NFL is retiring. That is Kevin Mawae. Here is a write up. Former LSU standout Kevin Mawae retires from NFL

It is hard to imagine a player that represent LSU and his state more well than Mawae. He still bleeds Purple and Gold and never has forgot his old High School in Leesville.
A interesting discussion if will be if he was let go part of age or perhaps it was because he was head of the NFL Players Union!!! Which needless to say is in quite open discussions with the NFL owners.
An interesting to note he is a "interim" strength and conditioning Coach/ intern at Vanderbilit it appears who LSU plays this week.
Needless to say Les Miles would please a lot of fans next yearsif he found a way to perhaps bring Mawae into the LSU fold.
