We Postpone The Republican Civil War for the Democrat Party One

It really is breathtaking how the winds of politics can change on a dime.

There have been a lot of American Civil war analogies as the GOP last year . The GOP is just now the party of the Old Confederate States for instance. Do we recall when that expression was in vogue and said with a snicker and a laugh by liberals? I have not heard that one in a while and it appears the laughter has stopped.

It appears the GOP and the various conservative factions don't like being out of power. Who does? What is shocking is this little non productive spat that has been going on since 2006 seems to have come to a end or at least there is truce. Perhaps a truce similar to South and North Korea between all these factions.

No doubt there are difference being discussed and debated . However it is striking even with the Tea Party stuff and several heated races the often destructive tone and tenor of the divisions have been lowered. The whole the enemy of my enemy is my friend thing.

I don't think it is so much Obama. It was the huge political terror of Obama with what was a 60 vote Senate majority and huge House that scared the heck out of these factions. One wonders if we had President Obama with lets say a 52 to 54 Senate majority if things would have been different.

Now we see one of America's unofficial Prime Ministers in trouble in Nevada

We see after the Brown victory New England Republicans excited.

and now we have the pending possible Civil War in the Democrat Party.

Now that Civil War may or may not occur. It does seems the far left , much like the far right in the GOP in 2006, seems to be cheering this on.

However I think what make this all blow up is $$$$$$$.

While things can change the Democrats are now facing a much bigger election landscape from sea to shining sea (whose knows Hawaii might be in it too) that they ever imagined.

Further there seems to indications that this has filtered down to the State level and of course because of the upcoming congressional line redistricting that is a huge deal.

Unlike the Federal Governement President Obama cannot ask China for the money to fund all these races. How long till the Fire Dog Lakes and Daily Kos's of the world demand that their folks quit sending money to the DNC to in their tilt at windmills moment to save save Lincoln, Reid and others and start worrying about their own far left liberals.

With signs of Union anger rising as a whole as to the current administration that critical GET OUT THE VOTE machine could be hampered too. It is a perfect storm.

Now all of this could change and that is what makes this all exciting to political junkies. However I am having a hard time seeing it.
