LSU Baseball Sweeps the Methodists From Shreveport (LSU 4 Centenary 0 ) (Updated)

Well LSU won game 3 again Centenary and swept the series. I think this was one of the best games of the series. If you are a Centenary fan I think there are big positives. True last night from a Centenary standpoint you got slaughtered(See LSU Baseball Defeats Both Centenary Choir and the Baseball Team (LSU 25 Methodists From Shreveport 8) ) but that game was clearly a abberation. As the LSU Coach pointed out in post game interviews today it was clear that Centenary made the wise choice not to throw their Sunday Bullpen into the effort to try salvage something in some Pickett Charge moment when things got out of hand.

So I suspect that Centenary is going to have a nice run this year.

If you are a LSU fan you got to like the results you saw today. We saw a very very good outing by Joey Bourgeois who made his first grand appearance. He and the Centenary Pitcher has a fun little pitching duel going on. You also have to like the performance of LSU pitcher Jordan Rittiner who is the freshman left-hander from Jesuit High School in New Orleans.

Overall a productive day.

Carl Dubois has a excellent summary of the game as well as audio links to good player and Coach interviews already up. See GAME BLOG: LSU 4, Centenary 0 (final).

I shall update this entry tomorrow with what the papers had to say.
SEC action is finishing up across the South and tonight I will update this entry with those results.

Wednesday LAKE CHARLES is in the House that is Mcneese State!!

Then starting on Friday we have the evil apostles of the Catholic Hating Monarchs William and Mary coming for a three game series. You know the second oldest college in the United States and has alumni such as Thomas Jefferson and like 16 signers of the Declaration of Independence. More on them later this week. I will actually have some interesting United States Catholic History relating to that school maybe later tonight.
