For Super Bowl Political Junkies- What is Indiana Governor Mitch Daniel Doing This Weekend

A lot of the GOP is talking about Governor Sarah Palin's speech and Q and A to the Tea Party convention last night.

I am more focused on another GOP person. That is Indiana GOP Governor Mitch Daniel. This report does not give us many details what his time as Governor/Colt fan in Miami will be like.

I suspect there will be some 2012 politics talked about and I am sure Jindal and the Governor will be meeting up. Who else will he be talking about at a event where the a nice bit of America's well connected show up.

Despite the Governor's public comments there are indications we are hearing he is interested in the race.

People like Palin, Romney, and Huckabee all face a similar problem. Sort of like the Hillary Clinton problem she had. How do defend yourself against the exciting new face. How do you stay in the Public eye but not too much in the public eye.

Romney and Huckabee if they enter the race have the problem of 2007 Part II. That each of them and their supporters will ravage the other. So at the end the Huckabee fans will make Romney look like Nelson Rockefeller and the Romney groupies will make Huckabee look like cross of William Jennings Bryan and Huey Long

Palin while having psotives also has negatives and time will tell if she leaving the Governor's office early was a good deal. Especially when I predict voters will go back to liking Governors(people that run things) to be President.

Into this void comes Mitch Daniel that seems to be well liked by all factions of the GOP. He is from a crucial state that is next to other crucial states the GOP must have to win.

Does he have the "it" factor for a national stage? I don't know. However if he runs he might be one easily that comes of the pack.
